APPLESAUCE BREAKFAST CAKE

Applesauce Breakfast Cake - Diabetic Recipe
Ingredients:
½ cup Margarine
1/3 cup Sugar
1 Egg
1-1/2 cup White All Purpose Flour
1 cup Old Fashioned Rolled Oats, uncooked (not instant)
2-1/2 tsp Low Sodium Baking Powder
1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
¼ tsp Salt
1 cup Unsweetened Applesauce
1/3 cup Water
½ cup Chopped Walnuts
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9” baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
Combine flour, oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Blend with a wire whisk and set aside.
Beat margarine and sugar together. Blend in egg. Add flour mixture, applesauce, and water. Mix well. Fold in nuts and spread in baking dish.
Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until golden brown.
